BUILDING CONTAINER HOMES IN MEDELLIN, COLOMBIA. A real estate vlog from my time in Medellin last month. I visit Juanka, a internet entrepreneur working in the hills above Medellin, and building a recycled Shipping Container Home close by. The house uses three recycled shipping container homes and the construction of the house is built around it. A cheap and quick way to build a property, and this one in particular has an incredible view. If you want more info about container homes in Colombia, or how to get into contact with Juanka, please send me an email at Sam at FARinternational dot com Follow me on instagram: sam_lifeafar Talk to me on Twitter: @samaza919 Short Term Furnished Apartments in Colombia: http://www.apartmentinternational.com Turnkey Hard Real Estate and Investments...

Retiring to Colombia, need your help with a few questions I was contacted with some questions on retiring to Colombia. In this video I give my answers to these questions. Would be great if you can help and let me know your thoughts below in the comments. These are the questions: 1) Will my current US smartphone work or will I have to buy a phone there? How are the phone providers and about how much does it cost? 2) Since I spend a lot of my time on youtube and some trading sites, Netflix etc. Amazon Prime etc. How is the internet, as far as streaming? 3) How bout shipping and mailing. Can I order something from the states and have it shipped to me? or have a relative ship it? 4) Also, I may store most of my belongings, stateside, until I decide I can live without them. But, lets say I ...

A time lapse of a sweet mural I painted for a... bakery for dogs? Yes, you heard that right. It was a fun weekend of dogs, treats and painting in Bogotá, Colombia. Follow me on Insty: https://www.instagram.com/fieldey/ This next bit is a little personal - selling up, quitting jobs and hitting the road in South America at the start of the year was one of the most stressful things we have ever done, and I had moments of wondering if we were mad to throw away such a sweet art gig in Australia... 6 months on and 5 countries in, I can safely say it was the best decision of our lives! Being inspired by new art and cultures and meeting awesome new friends, has lit a fire in my belly and pulled me out of my artistic and personal comfort zone. It's allowed me to experiment with new ideas and tec...
Bogota, Colombia (NTN24) Drivers in Bogota left their cars at home on Thursday (February 02) to encourage using cleaner forms of transportation. The streets of the Colombian capital were quiet as the some 1.5 million privately-owned vehicles that packed the streets daily stood still. Taxis were available, as were some 53,000 vehicles for public transportation, on 'No Car Day'. Cab driver Luis Alfredo Zapata said it made for a pleasant day of work on Bogota's normally hectic streets. "Completely different, more peaceful, more organised-- people are more careful when crossing the street. They run less between the cars," he said. Some people opted for riding bikes in Bogota, which has an extensive network of bike paths installed by an earlier administration to ease traffic and pollution....

Colombia shipping channel endangers unique reef Studies show that about a quarter of the world's coral reefs are dying and another two thirds are seriously under threat. An old and unique reef off the coast of Colombia could be wiped out by government plans to build a deep-water shipping channel in the area. Spanish/Nat Hours after a car bomb killed eight people in a wealthy part of Bogota - evoking fears of a renewed narco-terrorist campaign - Colombian President Andres Pastrana has sent a firm message to the attack's suspected culprits. Pastrana has authorised the extradition to the United States of three accused drug traffickers. His move comes eight years after the Colombian government banned such extraditions, capitulating to a series of anti-extradition terrorist attacks that killed hundreds. The Colombian government has made it clear it's not backing down this time. Just hours after a bomb killed eight people and injured 45 in Bogota, Colombian President Andres Pastrana signed decrees clearing the way for three accused drug traffickers to stand trial in the United States...
A visit on the Carnival Splendor. Docking at Phillipsburg, a view of the island from the ship, taxi to Maho Beach, the planes (American, COPA, Jet Blue, WinAir, Seabourne, LIAT, Delta and KLM), return to the ship and departure from Phillipsburg. No Air France as it arrived too late (1030pm from Bogota) after the ship sailed.
